Rolling Thunder Mission 27

I can't shoot down the Hind no matter how hard I try. I have used the Sabot and Machine Gun. I have tried to lock onto it but only once or twice was I successful. The Sabot never fired and the Machine Gun hit it many times but the chopper didn't go down. Would it be better to fire on Manual setting, or what? Any help will sure be appreciated.

Go back and redo previous mission "Hind Attack" if you remove all Hinds there you will not enounter them in "RollingThunder".

You can shoot it down with Sabot or Heat easily if it's flying low and coming towards you (ie when it's coming to destroy you!). I recall destroying it two or three times with a Heat in the very same mission.
