View Full Version : Road/building/vegetation shots?

I wonder if anyone knows of any online source that shows each type of road model, also buildings and vegetation?

I'm laying roads in a map right now for example, and don't know which road type looks like what. I'm going to have the same problems with buildings & vegetation. I know I can see them in Bulldozer but I'd like a resource I can see so that I don't need to constantly load them in & see if it's what I want.

Actually, another problem I'm having is no textures in Buldozer for roads. Where can I grab these? There's no roads.bbo in ArmA\Addons. It's not a great problem, but it's just a little annoying not to be able to judge the look right there in Buldozer.

The correct MLOD road models & textures should be located in CA folder in the P: drive. You may want to check the Roads/Data folder to see if the PAA files are there. That's the only reason I can think of as to why they are not appearing in Buldozer. If you can place roads in V3 you have to have the p3D files.

Yeah that's the case, I have the .p3d files but there's no .paa files for them. And I don't know where to find them to manually copy them across. The ArmA\Addons\CA addon doesn't seem to have them.

I think the .p3d files were installed with Visitor3, and the sample BIS downloadable models seem to hold the same road files, but they don't have .paa file either so I don't know where people get them from.

May want to try to reinstall V3 - I didn't do anything special to get them.

I had to get someone to send me the MLOD roads.pbo when I had this problem. Did you get it resolved?

The road textures can be found in roads.pbo from your arma addons folder.

Yeah that's where I got them from eventually. Problem is I also copied across the p3d files too - they don't work properly in V3. You must use the V3 installed p3ds but the ArmA paas. Weird http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/biggrin_o.gif

You cannot use those roads, u need to use the roads that come in the BIS sample modelsEnvironment. zip file

Sorry to use this image but i would like to know where i can find the road pole on the left of pic?

I've already looked in the OBJECT LIST for Visitor3 (http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard311/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=77;t=72274), but found nothing..

In CA/Misc.

The road marker stake is Plastovy_patnik

The guard rails are:
Svodidla.p3d
Svodidla_5m.p3d
