Hi trying out the forest tool! Got it working but the only thing im wondering is that if its possible to define hight of trees from min to max also set the tool so it places the trees in random order instead of all in a raw. If anyones used this youll know what i mean.

My aim is to place alot of trees within a selected area and and have the trees placed randomly with random oriantation and hight to give that forest feel.

If any one can shed some light on this would be helpful.

Thanks

I was under the impression the forest tool was for opf forest squares, with no use in arma. Will have to check it out.

Forests are made with individual trees.

Now it would take ages to place each tree one by one, it is best to use visitor scripts to help here.

Select an area on the map that you want a forest to be, run the script, RandomObjectPlacer.vis, select the tree model then define the density of the trees in the selected area.

You can repeat this with another tree model to get a mixed forest.

It's in the Visitor3 scripts directory.
eg: C:\Program Files\BI Tools\Visitor 3\Scripts

Ah, sorry. It's not part of the V3 release, it was created by "ShakI" and can be found here (http://www.alliancesquad.ru/arma/Visitor3/RandomObjectPlacer_1_0.rar).
