Photoshop version?

Which photoshop version is adequate for changing appearance of uniforms and vehicles? there is Photoshop 3.0, and Photoshop CS. The CS is much more expensive then the 3.0 version, but is it neccessary, or is the 3.0 version plenty?

I only have adobe ps elements 2.0 , much cheapness but with the nvidia plug in it can do any retexture job.

Question is which one do you have? They are both adequate whichever one you have.

If you dont have either and you plan to purchase one with the sole intent of retexing then why not try some thing like the GIMP which is free.
