New to the game, and my opinion is that the game manual is extremely poor..game is good though...

What do the points mean?
Do I get promoted in rank ever for merit???
How do i aim the m16...place target at top of center stem???

also...downloaded patch 1.42...game wouldn't start...why?

Points - You gotta keep you'r points up or you will start to get red X's on the debriefing. Too many of these and Col Blake (#### I hate him) will discharge you.

As far as I can rember you get promoted as the story continues. It does'nt matter how well you do. (I think I'm wrong here)

Aiming the M-16 - If you are alking about aiming through the iron-sights, then yes, place the top of the center stem on the target. However your angel of attack will dause a slight deflection and you'll have to compensate a little.

if u downloaded patch 1.42 straight from the retail version, you will not have the patches in between. If you want to be up-to-date, d/l and install the following patches in this order:

1.20 <--- only needed for the European version of the game&#33;&#33;
1.30
1.42
ditch 1.1 its not needed.
