Can anyone tell me what all these patches and upgrades for OPF are all about? There are like 3-4 of them right? What do they actually do?

You should have posted this in the GENERAL forum.
Anyway, patches 1.20 and 1.30 not only contained fixes, they also contained addons. After 1.30, the only other patch you need is 1.42. It's only fixes.
If you're planning on playing on the net, you might as well patch yourself up to 1.42 or you won't be able to connect to any of the 1.42 servers with a lower version.
