View Full Version : synchronized client CTD in multiplayer?
Several times when playing now all the clients on the server crash to the desktop at exactly the same time.
We are playing 1.30, on the two new 1.30 co-op maps. We all run Win2000 and have been using a non-dedicated server.
I sent the error files to BIS, but figured I would post here also to see if anyone else has had this happen.

Well, we are on a LAN with a non-dedicated server so we aren't voting. It doesn't happen every time we play. In the two nights since we have been playing with 1.30 it has happened maybe 4 times. We will be playing, in the middle of the mission, and suddenly all the clients crash to the desktop with no message. The server computer's game is fine and can continue playing.

I have experienced that as well during private Internet games using the non-dedicated server. I thought that my DSL connection was acting up and asked someone else to host the next time we play, but now I think that may not make any difference.
I'm running V1.30 on Windows 2000/SP2 with DX 8.1 -- my DSL connection is 1500/384.

we have these same problems since going up to 1.30. happen also in 1.29 beta
Doesn't matter who hosts, all direct IPs but all have cable. I think it's a patch issue that BIS needs to look at fast!
BIS support emailed me and said they were going to have it fixed in the next patch...
