System memory error

While playing Arma few times I have encounter this error which makes me crash to desktop. It does it mostly while flying and/or landing.

Error:
Cannot create system memory surface DXT5,1024x1024(size 1441792 B) Error code 8007000e

My spec's
Intel core 2 extreme x6800
GTX8800
2Gb RAM
playing on res:1440x900

Maybe we should leave this error as a seperate thread? There are so many errors that its getting hard to see the wood for the trees, and there are a LOT of people experiencing this exact error (myself included ***http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/help.gif ).
Having a seperate thread for each of the common problems with 1.08 will make it easier to see when someone comes out with a solution

I have a 8800GTX aswell and this memory error pops up now and again if I have textures set to high (the same happend on my other PC with a 6800GT) set textures to normal and it shouldn't happen anymore.

Edit: From my tests the new (default) option is no good either, it will just detect 768MB video ram and cause problems like when you have textures set to high. This engine has some serious video memory problems, the high texture setting shouldn't even be a option how it currently is.
