View Full Version : 1.08 corrupt zip?
I have downloaded the patch TWICE now from mirror:
http://www.armedassault.fr/ftp....108.zip (http://www.armedassault.fr/ftp/patchs/ArmA_InternationalUpdate105_108.zip)
and both times after DLing when I click the file I get:
"the compressed folder is invalid or corrupted"
hope the files from the other MUCH SLOWER servers work.

Check your un-zip can handle that size of file. Or try WiZ.
ive opened much larger files than this with winzip, that isnt the problem..
Ok. downloaded it from a different server..
still does not work, tried opening it with Winrar and winzip.. neither worked.

ok - now check the ZIP file if its corrupt.
(use this tool: http://www.beeblebrox.org/hashtab/ )
the correct MD5 HASH of the ZIP is:
Quote[/b] ]970CA73FCA2167C55AEB941CF1C86E1C
and the correct MD5 HASH of the EXE file is :

One of my downloads was currept, but I dont know where I downloaded it from.
I got this twice after downloading and I think it was the massive download rush where everyone was downloading.. server's on breaking point and things go wrong for a tad... that's my reason of why many people are getting corrupt zip's.

i downloaded that program and the MD5 hash doesn't match, i assume that means the files is crap, any way to fix it? Btw the MD% hash for the zip is F32B7B06F2A7A6A6EE32CA4EDE64374E

Weird, the hash on the zip doesn't match for me, but it does for the exe. Possibly due to different readme files, or perhaps some download sites recompressed the archive to get it a bit smaller.

I had the same problem that patch was always "corrupted" and when patching I got CRC-errors. (or PBO-errors)
It turned out that the cause was that my computer was overclocked.
PC was stable and all games worked fine, but when extracting zip/pbo files it gave me CRC-errors...I set default clocks to my CPU and patching worked.
(This happened with my old rig: A3700+, Asus A8N-E mobo and FSB was 230MHz, 2GB Kingston valueram)...so in my case it was hardware related.

Did you buy your E6600 recently or shortly after release?
Because I've read that Intel has recently started modifying their Dual Core processors to become unstable when overclocked, so that people don't carry on buying the cheaper ones and heavily overclocking them.
They want to sell the high range products too after all.
EDIT: Oh, I just read it happened with your AMD. Never mind.

I had this problem. I downloaded the zip several times from different mirrors, and on the fifth or sixth try it finally worked. All the previous ones were corrupt. So my advice would be to keep trying different mirrors.
