AMD Processer Driver

This is my driver version. 6.0.6000.16386. ***Driver date on 6/21/06, on my new computer with Vista. Can't see what this version on the site is. ***Thanks for any input.

If you mean the Dual Core Optimizer or just the Processor Driver?
I would get both the latest of them.

I mean the AMD Dual-Core Optimizer. ***I don't see any regular driver updates on here. ***Should I uninstall the old one or overwrite it? Never uninstalled an processor driver. ***I don't want to mess anything up. ***Is this cool for Vista? It's funny, I go to device manager click on update driver. It checks for any new version online. it always say's I'm up to date but I guess I'm not.

It really doesn't make much of a difference, if you got an older version it's good enough. Uninstalling the CPU doesn't do much either. Perhaps the only thing that changes is that it won't go to a lower frequency (if you even utilise that)

You do not need either one if you are running Vista - these are already built into the OS. If you are running XP, by all means do install these, especially the dual core optimizer.
