Red Hammer Helicopter Mission

In the mission where you have to steal a Russian helicopter, I noticed that there was a machine gun slung under the cockpit as well as rockets on the side. However, during the flight the machine gun is not available. Am I missing something?

There's a real hip addon here (http://www.operationflashpoint.d2.cz/index.php?sekce=unofaddons/aircrafts). It has a MG, but it doesn't fire from the gun model, and it can't rotate.

It is not a machine gun, but a scope for better aiming (when u press the "v" key). At least i think so..........

All the helos have 'optics view' in the gunner position (by pressin 'ins').

The Mi-17 armed varient is fitted with a 7.62-mm built-in machine gun.
