Nvidia "offically" announced their new GPU today. Sites already have teh GF4 MX series up for sale, but I hear it's not even comparable to a GF3. But the Ti series of cards are set to hit stores in 1-2 months. almost all of teh GF4 series whips the 8500's butt now, so It's good to see nvidia back on top of things now http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard3/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Iplan on buyingg the Ti4600 in Mrach when it is set to hit stores http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard3/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif I'll find the link with the benchies I saw earlier, and post them here so you can all stare in aww at it's 8500 as kicking performance http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard3/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

OH.... Geforce 4 came out already...

Is it just a Geforce 3 with improved clockspeeds or is it the next generation of cards(like when the Geforce 256 first came)?

I think what nvidia probably does is release cards that are lower than they can have it....like Geforce 4 is probably downed...like they have technology now that will be as high as Geforce 6 but they release it lower so they can have a good update to drain people's wallets......

I wanted to buy a GF3 tomorrow, but now i want a GF4 Ti4600. It costs only $399, that is about 500 euro's. I hope it will be here in Holland soon. They will release the MX series soon, but they suck. I WANT the ti-series and particular the 4600 http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard3/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Not really, ti GF4 Ti4200 is only $199, and it out performs the 8500 RETAIL by more than 65% http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard3/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif And ATi is supposedly working on r3000...And when it is out...it will suck to....b/c ATi has 3rd graders developing their driveers http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard3/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
