blood sweat and tears will not end!!

I am at the section of this mission where I have been shot down in the blackhawk and am in the woods with the pilot. The only instruction given is to find somewhere to hide. I have played this mission 10 times now in various ways from hiding in the church, picking off men in the woods then attacking the base. Each time a blackhawk lands on the hill a squad gets out runs around the woods for a while and then returns to the base and stands there!! I have tried killing all the enemy to killing none and letting the squad do that. The last time I played the squad left the base and headed north to Ixel where they waited at the pick up point with no result. As I left the base area the message "you are leaving the mission area mission will fail" was displayed.

i sat in the church shooting enemy for a while, then watched the chopper land. The squad headed towards the blackhawk and engaged some enemy. Once they arrived at the blackhawk and I was there too, the mission ended.

How long did you have to wait? It is about 30mins from start to the chopper landing. Surely you cant be expected to sit still for that long!!

Hmm... i didn't even notice the chopper landing.
I found that just going hanging out in the church and periodically going out to shoot the enemies worked rather well... it only too about 5 mins if i recall correctly. If it takes too long, set the pilot up in the church lying down and facing outwards, get some good cover in the little gaps in the wall, then just crank up the game speed to 4x and let the pilot protect you you

still wont work , sat in Church sat at BH and Chopper lands, troops come and just walk away again...Spent many an hour trying to get this to complete.
