There have been other reports of this bug. I don't know if there is any way around it for now, might have to wait for the 1.05 patch http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/huh.gif .

Or patch 1.06 if 1.05 doesn't fix it. The important thing is it will be fixed, even if its by patch 2.96

I dont agree at all! The important thing is that BI has released a game thats not ready. It seems by all reports on this forums (and my own experience) that there cannot have been any beta-testing worth the name. Why the h-ll should we accept that a brand new game in 2007 doesnt work from day one on some of the most used graphiccards? Just because we all have been waiting for so long? Well i for one could have waited a couple more weeks to get a game thats PLAYABLE!!!
Ok i reinstalled and it worked!
I have to agree with some of the comments though, it's not the first time a texture or weapon has disappeared when i've looted a corpse for eg.
Thing is, i absolutely adore BIS for breaking the mould with OFP and all the addons -i've even got the original CD that the OFP demo was released on! No company has even got near to what OFP encompassed!!!
Thing is Codemasters were a big publisher and we don't know What exactly happened with the financial side of things between them. What we do know is that BIS are one of the best supporters out there of their products! (OFP wasn't exactly rock solid upon release http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/wink_o.gif \ but boy did BIS turn it into a real beaut through patches!
It may have sold 1.5 million copies but just exactly how much of that went to Codies???
Now that i've said that BIS, don't let me down!
So we have a rough diamond (in ArmA) with a lot of potential.
Let's give BIS a chance to iron out the probs and see if they can turn ArmA into the best thing since....well OFP ***http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/biggrin_o.gif

I was actually being sarcastic, pointing out the poor status of the game. If you read my posts, you will see that I'm one of the most critical guy on this forum.

Sorry if I missed the irony. I`m just so dissapointed at Arma at this stage. I managed to actually play a few minutes before the graphics went ballistic, and the game itself seems to be as funny as OFP.
