This game surly has potential, but it needs plenty of work. ***

I used the file for the dedicated server for Windows XP and it connects, but when I go to play multiplayer it just repeats the vote count when my son and I try to run the game? ***It goes through time count and then it repeats its self over and over and the game will not start?

Any one have a clue regarding this problem?

You tryed loging onto the server ?.

Here's how

Make a text file and add this

maxplayers = 8;

hostname = Server name

Save the file as server.cfg

Make another text file

put this in it

Save it as Armademo.bat

Put both files on your dedicated server in the Arma folder then run the .bat file.. Remember to change the password in the server.cfg file and the server name etc.

EDIT UPDATE:

Well, it didn't work. Can't connect to my dedicated server? Did as you suggested and it still locked in the vote count splash screen repeating the count, over and over and then stops a the number one and freezes???

Well, it appears support from official support is not commenting on the problems on the this forum. Not a good idea when they want to sell a product.

Guess I'll wait until OFFICIAL SUPPORT for ArmA can answer the questions that have been requested! ***

If you login as admin once connected to the server, there is no vote option, you are in control. If by chance you login after you selected the mission then simply hit cancel go back and choose the mission again and you should be good to go.

I was not using the proper file, which was 5116. Its works now. ***

Just need to know how to change the server name now?
