i'd like to get my clan a bit more trained in various areas of tactics , but sadly as it is , i cant get all of them to train at once and im finding a lack of time for training them.

anyone know any decent (working) guides i can link em to?

Hmm id suggest you could look for actual military documentiation on tatics and such. Since id guess Arma being a mil sim some these real word tatics could be employed in much the same manner ingame, although prehaps with a bit of editing and changing for the game enviroment.

Also it may be helpful if you included in your post what sort of tatics guids youd like?like infantry, vehicle, tanks, air craft, etc..

Hi,

I don't know if you or your clan members understand Finnish but there are some relatively good guides written in Finnish at LDD Kyllikki website (http://kyllikki.tiimipeli.net/).

If that wasn't helpful then there is an old infantry tactics guide in English somewhere... couldn't find it from ofpec.com now but I guess that's the place I got it from.

Edit: Found a guide Operation flashpoint multiplayer tactics (http://www.kolumbus.fi/baddo/ofp/tutorials/mptactics.zip) written for Operation Flashpoint. Same information applies roughly to Armed Assault, some comments might be a bit inaccurate even for Operation Flashpoint but it is a good read.

How about some official stuff?
US Army Field Manuals (http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/library/policy/army/fm/)

Probably most relevant to OFP/ArmA:
FM7-8 INFANTRY RIFLE PLATOON AND SQUAD (http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/library/policy/army/fm/7-8/toc.htm)
and
FM7-7 THE MECHANIZED INFANTRY PLATOON AND SQUAD (APC) (http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/library/policy/army/fm/7-7/toc.htm)

Reading a pamphlet is no substitute for training, though.
If you really want your "clan" to be trained then you really
must try harder to get them together for exercises.

I'm working on a new tactics page for my group, to replace our old old (which is a bit outdated, but you might find something useful in it: http://dslyecxi.com/ofpttp.html ). I'll post about it here once it's up, it's going to be rather comprehensive. I'm guessing it'll have the kind of things you're looking for.

Aside from that, there will be training videos put out in the future more than likely... once my group switches over to ArmA. Hopefully those will be useful to you as well.

exactly. I'm not worried about me , I'm worried about some of them we will eventually be able to train all together , but at this time this is the best i can hope for.

ArmA and OFP are the best way to put a pamphlet in action. I learn how to make a realistic mission too. Most missions are hard but not realistic. You are outnumbered and without external support.
