Am i right in my understanding that with the demo dedicated server, the only way to permanently remove TKers is to ban their ID of 999, which also bans every other demo user?

I did plan to put up an extremely well specced server at Jolt for everyone to enjoy, but I can't if I have no control over TKers.

BIS, you can't expect support from online gaming providers unless you begin to take the dedicated server aspect of Arma more seriously.

1: Show IP addresses in the console window.
2: Let us ban by that IP address

Just kick them with the #kick command. If they return kick them again, they'll get tired eventually...

Thats the restraints of the demo im afraid =)

I'm not sure who'd get tired first.  You wouldn't believe some people's stamina.

Yes, this problem makes the demo *pointless*. Way to name a thread.

LOL nice matt http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/wink_o.gif

And yeah.. this doesnt make the demo *useless* i personally have yet to find THAT many people who deserve a ban.. Remember this demo is free... and so you're not gonna get the full features.

Yes i know some people are determined to annoy you as much as possible http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/wink_o.gif but just stand your ground...

Though incidents are usually few and far between when people start reconnecting...

apparently there is a way to ban people now....taken from the wiki:

#exec users                 Show a List of the connected players
#exec kick ID               Allows you to kick the player ID
#exec ban ID                Allows you to ban the player ID

which means you should be able to ban by name and not just the id
