I didn't like the new ArmA-style markers much, so I recreated the old OFP/VBS ones:

You could get in trouble for this... but they are just markers afteral, they may let it slide..

Ahem...

They're the same markers as in OFP, except for a few red and blue dots.

Yes, if I would've converted Samawah (http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Image:VBS_TP3_Samawah.jpg), that would've been a different story.
But I would think that the number of people who will decide, after being able to use these markers in ArmA already, that there's really no need to purchase VBS after all, is rather minimal...

surely BIA...

given that making markers involves 5 minutes in photoshop with alpha channels etc, if BIA said no, there's nothing stopping you from making your own versions of them... as was said, its just a few dots http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/tounge2.gif

Anyway, it might of been better to at least 'try' checking with BIA (or BIS if you don' get a reply this year).

OFP -> ArmA = requires BIS + CM approval (See rearmed project)
VBS -> ArmA = requires BIA approval.

ehh stupid question, how to make this markers work in normall game ? It only need to put PBO to addon dir ?
I hate this new map. Someone should make a conversion for OFP map.

I have added the internal ArmA icons to this collection.
They&#39;re the ones you sometimes see when objects are tracked on the map.
Now you can now use them like regular markers:

No, these are the ArmA ones.
My addon doesn&#39;t actually contain any textures for the icons,
I&#39;m just using the ones provided by ArmA, and class them as markers.

Is it possible to replace the ArmA markers with these?

Well all I really need to know is which file contains the marker stuff, I&#39;ll replace it myself.

Btw good addon. Hate the ArmA markers and dont like all the USMC mumbo jumbo markers so these are spot on for me.

Ah, I see. Didn&#39;t know these icons are included in the ArmA game data. Seems like there are still many OFP residents in ArmA. Because these icons are exactly the same that were used as unit / vehicle icons in the OFP editor. http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/wink_o.gif
