View Full Version : Syncronisized WP doesnt work
Goddamit! BIS should really include some Preview-Multiplayer in the editor - I am really tired of the shutting-down, restarting and copying to a server, each time i want to preview the mission in MP because it always tends to behave strangely there...
Did anyone ever had a Problem that a syncronisation doesnt work in MP (as usual - everything works fine in SP)?
The trigger is activated (hint) but the group whos next waypoint is syncronized with the trigger doesnt move...

Anyway, it seems ur getting mainly tired because of ur own unknowing...
Why are you shutting down ur game to upload the mission? alt-tab?
Why don't you run a server on the same machine as ur game, if you have dualcore it will work best, but with single core and simple testing... it should be fine aswell
Why don't you use -x1024 -y768 -window in your shortcut so you can switch really fast between windows, server, game etc. ? you can pick any resolution though..
You might want to take a look at the Community WIKI, if you didn't already do that, could soften ur pains considerably.
I'll have a look at the synchronising tonight, if I got time.

1.) Dont call me 'unknowing'
2.) I do alt-tab. and i do have both on the same pc- It still is taking up a lot of time to do that all the time ... closing the editor, repack the files, move the files, shutdown and restart the server, loading back the game (even your 'alt-tab' thing requires loading the game)
3.) i may recite the WIKI if you want me to.
4.) i d consider to thank you if you were just a bit more polite than i am.
to have a start: thank you for the hint with the windowed-instance. i actually didnt know that.

Now the vehicles dont even move if there is no syncronisation between. no matter what.
i ve no idea what is going on. tell me if you want to have the mission to take a look at it.
Synchronizing works fine in MP here.
Make sure you are using synchronize right and your scripts are mp compatible. http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/whistle.gif

Im not calling you unknowing, im saying ur probably getting tired of ur own unknowing http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/smile_o.gif As you didnt know about the window option, and you somehow think it's nececairy to stop and restart the server program everytime when you put ur mission back in the folder, which is also not nececairy. And is causing you unnececairy headaches...
If I want to critize you, I will indeed send you a PM, as far as I know I tried to be helpful while aswell sharing my opinion... and as I wasn't the only one trying to help you in your last topic, I was missing a couple of thanks here and there
Why don't tanks move in ArmA MP, indeed seems to be a bug... hopefully fixed soon:

--huh; i was just about to tell that the most simple try with only a group of hmmwvs and 2 waypoints doesnt work when i read your post about the bug.

I will finnally stop making MP-Mission for that buggy Game till they fixed the most serious bugs.
SP mission are also nice
