View Full Version : Disable Voices and Command Hud?

I don't know about the rest of you, but these two things are a bit annoying. I'm wondering if there is some way to disable the voice commands that you (the player) and your AI shouts out. When you do any kind of recon type mission, it really gets annoying and breaks the immersion. If it's possible to just disable the shouts, but keep the radio transmissions, that would be great since you can control the volume of the radio, but if it has to be all or nothing, I would choose the latter.

Also, I am wondering if there is a way to disable the command hud that stretches across the bottom of your screen when you have an AI squad under your control. I play on vet with everything off and I want NOTHING on my screen. I can do everything with the "~" and command mode button (not sure what the default is, because I customized all my controls).

*EDIT* The perfect solution would be for BIS to include these as options in a future patch. At least the command hud, since it should be easy, because they could treat it like the action menu where it disappears after X seconds and you can bring it back up with the "~" key.

Any tips, advice, comments?

Thanks,

Korax

It is all very possible but it requires editing of the main config.bin located in bin.pbo in the DTA folder, its not an easy task but its possible.
