Problem with 1.01 and DL version

Got the game downloaded from Morphicon (or metaboli or whatever it is)... game works ok as is, after 1) SecureRom authentication, then 2) Starforce.

The first time I tried to run the game, I had NOT yet authenticated with Starforce, but SecureRom determined I had no CD in and would not let me run the game.

I uninstalled everything, reinstalled the game (NOT patch 1.01), did BOTH authentications and the game runs fine.

Is it safe to go ahead and patch now, or is securerom going to look for a disk again and prevent start-up?

I also DLed the game from Morphicon,but my version is 1.01.

Check your version first to see if you need the patch.
