Today I wanted to download the new 1.01 patch for the german version. So I surf to www.armaholic.com and downloads it. When I try to start it tho, a window pops up and says that it's corrupted. So I download it again and the same window pops up. So I download the 1.01 patch from www.armedassaults.de instead. Same window pops up. The same happends when I try to download the file from www.arme.eu, www.armed-assault-zone.com, www.armedassault.info. If you downloaded the version via online dist. from Morphicon, it's already v1.01.

Double check if you dont have memory or cpu problems, if it are CRC errors... Many times it's because of too high cpu/mem overclocking or overheating.
Your download could just be corrupt aswell http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/smile_o.gif Try to delete the downloaded file, clear your internet cache, shutdown all browser windows, check task manager and double check that all browser processes are down, then start your browser and download it from somewhere again, might try in a different folder, and then retry
Oh and make sure none of the files that the patcher needs are modified in your installation, to make sure you could reinstall your game to check it http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/wink_o.gif

What version do you have, boxed or downloaded? Just checking because the downloaded German version comes patched. Otherwise I am not sure

Having the same problem, says the patch is corrupt, and I'm 100.1 % confident that it's not my computer that is the problem.
My version is also the German boxed.

Just want to repeat this to make sure people dont miss it!
Did you modify the game by adding any usermade content?
Make sure you only try to patch the game on a clean install.
That is the only thing that could be the cause since you say all patches are corrupted, while it was downloaded hundreds of times already without complaints of being corrupted files.
Just my 2 cents though.
I would just like to point out that the files turns out corrupts when pressing the .exe file, ie before the patch has been installed. And since it's never working it has to be my computer, I just cant figure out what. And it's only this patch, not any other .rar files. Would someone like to host a version they know work correctly and then maybe give it to me? Or via MSN?

There's no need to, the patch has worked fine for everyone else, maybe try downloading with a download manager.

I don't have a faulty connection, I don't have AV programs or firewalls that could interfere, my machine isn't infected with anything.
It's specs are:
2.4 Ghz P4
2048 Mb Ram
Radeon X800 Pro AGP
Windows XP Pro SP2 with latest updates.

Seen many reports in the past where WinRar or other compressing programs reporting a pack as errored or empty when it really isn't ...........
Also heard where download accelerators/packagers can corrupt files ........

I updated to the latest (3.62, was running 3.51), no change.
My copy is bought boxed (through BuyArmA.com).

Same error.
Best option is to contact Morphicon as per the pinned thread with contact information.

hi there . no you are not alone with that problem. i have the same http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/mad_o.gif . the problem is not the zip-file. it works. i tried it on an other computer --- no problem . the same file on my computer ( the .exe not the zip) "patch file is corrupted" . i guess it must be a problem with the copyprotection or something else because i never had an similar problem before. so we will look and wait and hope ;-)
Germans aren't all too silly, on their forum they found out that it can run fine while in safe mode.
Though this can't possibly be a long-term solution.
Are the drives containing the file compressed?

did you try with AND without download accelerators?
I get that error often when useing GetRight or similar.
Take the Free Download Manager (http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/).
Works perfect with Firefox, and IE too.
I have Cz version and have same problem with patch. Patch file is corrupted.
Tested a lot ways to fix problem, dl patch from site, friend (used FTP) , run XP in safe mode, disable anti virus, deleted temp from browser, reinstaled AA, dl patch to laptop unpacked there and moved patch to "game PC" by USB pendrive always same.
We identified some problem in cryptography library of Windows on some PCs preventing the patch from being applied on those systems.
Fix is in the works.
In the meantime, using unpacked files from another users is the quickest possible work around.

well, next time try posting an md5 or sha1 hash of the file to see if it matches other users'.

I really would like to know something about the actual status of the update for the patch as far as it´s impossible to be installed on my system. You wrote you recognized that there could be a problem on some windows systems and you work on a solution. Untill today I cannot play the game due to performance problems that should be solved after installtion of the patch.
Please come back with some updates .

Sorry but there is no friend who can help out, that´s why i am asking here. Wouldn´t it be a kind of service offering the new files by the Publisher if the patch file doesn´t work for some clients.
Maybe you have an idea where to get the files from.

Placebo if you mean take and use unpacked file "Arma_CZEPatch_101.exe" so I inform you I checked this method and it dont work.
Maybe you should propose another method I mean some files are in folder X:\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA..... are replaced by upgraded files.
Tell us what files are upgrades and put this upgraded files to dowload from BIS site with manual which file put where.

I'm sorry to bring you bad news sniper, but bugs in patches really are quite common. Nothing to get too worried about.
Again I prefer to get the patched files with the folder structure offered by the publisher as service untill a fix patch file is available. I would like to play the game.
