What music do you either listen to while playing OpFlash, and/or would like to see used as music in custom missions?
My faves are listed...what's yours? http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard3/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

While i do have the rollins band in my playlist, i cant really say what music i really like to listen to, since i just put my playlist in random because i have more than 2 days worth of music in there. But when im doing a large scale invasion, its always "ride of the valkyries".
none...having music playing makes it hard to hear when that BMP is flanking your position getting ready to make you into a flat spot

I never have music on while playing a game, other than the music the game itself contains, I find external music detracts from the game's atmosphere http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard3/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Ah, superb choice!
I would like to hear Beethovben's 9th Symp.(Ode to Joy) in custom missions. Like when you are attacking enemy base after long battle to get there.
Could be kinda ironic when you hear the chorus sing it and at the moment you find yourself getting shot at heavily from enemies.
How about that song from Indiana Jones, or Mozart's Requiem?
Kinda getting carried away, how about that song from movie Titanic? ('My heart wil go on~~ and on~~~!')
I hope you like 'Am I evil?', 'Blitzkrieg' and 'Bleeding me' http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard3/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Metallica is perfect in OFP.
Atleast they rock in my upcoming campaign during the cutscenes http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard3/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
Abnormal and Realize Me (Seventh) are also great.
Placebo: How about we record those voices and get this campaign published?

OK, even if you don't listen to music during play (I agree it can be very distracting), what do you think would be cool music for cutscenes? http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard3/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
(Oh, by the way, love old-school Metallica! Booya!)

Well if you are planning on making a mission with cutscenes please use Prodigy.
I can image watching a battle listening to "Smack my bitch up". Also would be good in helos.
Or "firestarter", there all good

Best music for cutscenes? I would probably say classical music, I'm not a fan of classical music as such but the right piece used in a computer game like Opf will blow you away (no pun intended) If we're talking more modern music then Metallica would be hard to beat http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard3/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
But you have to get your Metallica from Napster, just to piss them off http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard3/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

I pay for the music I like and seek.
Speaking of music I like..... Where can I buy Seventh's album?
I got all his songs on mp3 off his site, but mp3 ain't the same as 'the real thing' http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard3/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I love System, but I dont think it would go with OFP.
Ive played this Afghanistan map where Rage played after u killed a camp and it was quiet for so long (we were black ops) that it scared me so bad I jumped out of my chair.
I dont think gay songs like "Its been a while" and "How you remind me" would go well with OFP at all.

Hey I just realized the whole punk-rock genre has been neglected so I figured I'd post some great punk songs which would go perfectly with OFP missions/cutscenes
"Society" - Pennywise
"You'll never make it" - Pennywise
"Genocide" - The Offspring
"It'll be a long time" - The Offspring
'Jennifer Lost The War" - The Offspring
"Come Out & Play" - The Offspring
Blink Dog
Jan 28 2002, 02:01
"Payback" by Slayer would be perfect sound track for an afghanistan kill binladen senerio. I also listen to The Exploited, "scaling the derry wall", "Barry Prossit", "death before dishonour". "jesus built my hotrod" by ministry would be great for a MP racing senerio. No one with a good car needs to be justified!

Well "WAR?" is really about wars over religion. But I think it would be pretty cool in a cut scene to have that song playing. I have no idea how one does that though.

Hey Tovarish, is that Maynard from "Tool" that I hear singing some parts on "know your enemy" by RATM?
I like "Bad Religion", but their songs wouldn't fit with any mission. Some of their songs relate to the situation in OFP though
Like: "I want to conquer the World"
"Leaders and Followers"
"Sorrow"
Those are a few that I can think of off the top of my head.
I like loads of bands but I don't listen to any music while playing OFP, I need my ears! http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard3/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

It's Chris Cornel.
IMO, Soundgarden was the best band to come out of Seattle during the 90's. I have 3 of their albums, they kick ass. Its too bad they broke up, but its nice to see Chris working again.
It should be interseting to see what their sound is like.

Well, from the choices, Slayer and Metallica would work best in cutscenes...like "Bitter Peace", or "Damage Inc." Or what about Fear Factory, or Machine Head? Or some Sepultura off of Chaos AD, that's a badass CD...

There is something that is just hillarious and odd about playing happy music in the background and watching people being slaughtered all over the place. http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard3/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I only use in game music, because other music under a game sucks. When u play OFP and u r sneaking through the forest and u hear loud music i haven't got the feeling i am sneaking through the forest. It has to be completely soundless except for the sounds of birds etc. But when a ingame music starts, which makes it more tence i like it.

This may be a bit late, but i chose slayer, cos they kick ass http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard3/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
i started a new opf campaign once and had slipknot ''slipknot'' on, and i found that was quite cool, went well with the game in its own way, even though all the quiet scenes still had loads of shouting and heavy guitars.
i remember while i was playing i was on track 15 on the cd, it was pretty sweet because the music actually went really well:
''give me a scream corey'' - i was running across the fields to my target in a squad
''YAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!'' - the sarge ordered to keep low
then corey started singing and all hell broke loose (there was a massive explosion just as all the guitars and drums exploded http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard3/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif )
not only that but it was a kick ass song.
I haven't tried it with slayer yet though, mainly cos my computers on the fritz http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard3/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif i'd imagine listening to ''New faith'' would kick ass on that battlefields mission.

late post, but since this is in offtopic anyway.....
What's your favorite jukebox prog. to play MP3s on your PC? Windows Media Player, MusicMatch Jukebox, Winamp,Sonique or what?
I used to use MMJB, but I didnt like the more recent versions, so I'm using WMP most often....
