Right we are having trouble getting our server running okay. The dedi server keeps crashing (the game, not the actual server)
and we do not know any of the commands to admin the game, change settings (get rid of seagulls etc)
I cannot find anything on the net that resembles help.
How do we expect the game to take-off, when the multiplayer infrastructure is so complicated, without documentation on the matter.

What about taking a look at the official BIS Wiki at Armed Assault: Multiplayer...
I can find entries to e.g. the server.cfg, Multiplayer Server Commands and more in there.

Well, the BIS Wiki is linked here numberous times.
So how can you say that there is no documentation?
Update:

As extra you can download the OFP Server 196C, and read the DADMIN.DOC (or sth similair), as it includes same information.
You can make settings in your own ArmA configuration for difficulty etc, and then copy those same files on the servers computer in it's server(player) profile. Located on both computers in: %USERPROFILE%\My Documents\ArmA or ArmA Other Profiles
(%USERPROFILE% = Usually C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name).
After setting difficulty settings in game, you will see the numbres and changes in your {Windows Username}.ArmAProfile, copy that config or content into the server one.
Note: You can't edit server files while the server is running, it will fail to save.
Mind you, all the ofp stuff works with ArmA
