It never fails to surprise me - from bolt movement, muzzle flash, report, to recoil and target impact in "modern" first-person-shooter games seems to get even less convincing the more saturated the market gets with them. It makes me wonder about concessions entertainment these days takes with other things, if they could, like hollywood, screw up getting the behavior of firearms wrong. Hopefully AA will change all that and give warfare enthusiasts a completely authentic experience set in a fun enviornment. With that said, I know this is late coming, but if anyone has a line to AA's development team, although I'm sure they've done their homework with respect to small and medium caliber effect realism, it wouldn't hurt to pass these video references along if they are still finalizing things:
