Red Hammer First Mission

What can I do, after storming the beach, it is fine but at the fuel station, half of the squad got killed and then the resistance wave kills everyone in the squad with only me alive. Bloody hard man with the new AI, their aim is just deadly, one shot from 400 M kills me. Is all the mission in the Red Hammer So hard? Please help on this mission please. Any site with the new mission walkthrough?

I had some trouble here too. Seems like my squad always gets cut down crossing the open area aproaching the fuel station. I got passed that part with half the squad killed and my arm shot so now I can't aim. Then we just got wiped out every time taking the town. I think I'll have to do the fuel station again and win without being injured.

First mission is certainly quite tough. The fuel station shoot out is a bloodbath. I crawled around the side of a building and picked off any bad guys I could see, just me and two guys left.

Fortunately the village part isn't too hard. Pay attention to the cutscene, use grenades and (if you think you've killed everyone, but the mission won't finish) do a house to house.

The level of difficulty appears about average for the rest of the Red Hammer missions.

I think u need more practice. I finished that mission without dieing once.

I found that level easy, after one death I figured out where they were flanking from and beat it with three of my guys left.

There is a confirmed (and supposedly already fixed) bug in OFP that runs like this:

Any team member of the AI team will report the position of an enemy _accurately_ to all other team members. The others than attack the enemy, if they have a clear line of fire,
even though they don't have a clear line of sight.

In that mission, your squad will be killed by the guys behind the bush at the side of the fuelstation because one guy is running in front of the bush and reporting all you.

I solved it by running _fast_ to the left, flanked them and throw a granade at the fuelstation. That got most of them, and most of my squad survived (these that died re-appeared in mission two, anyway :/

Then go to the right, drop into a bush and aim at the guys coming over the open field.

Whats wrong with you people , I completed that one first go while on the phone to my mate. I cant see why you are all having so much probs with it , its a cake walk

just keep low and use your Iron sights.

BTW if the MG guy gets it , grab the PK.
