US SP missions in EU version

I recently got the Red Hammer mission pack and with it the OPF strategy guide. I read it and noticed that some missions are modified between the US version (which the guide covers) and the EU version. E.g. in the mission "Air Assault" you get to fly the Cobra in the EU version but the Apache in the US version. I thought that perhaps I could just install the patches (when I completed the campaign the US version wasn't even out, and so the Apache wasn't even in the game) but this didn't help at all. So, I am just wondering if anyone of you have noticed this and got a solution for this problem? I bought the Gold edition (OFP and RH together) here in Denmark and got the Apache, I would like that they made it an options if you want the apache or the cobra. It just doesn't feel right flying an apache when your buddy is taking off in a cobra.

The U.S. retail version of OFP is 1.2 I believe. So when it came out there the AH-64 would have been in the game. This also explains why it is in the Gold Edition, Which is 1.2 or 1.3.

I guess they just wanted to put the Apache somewhere in the campaign, although I think the AH-1 fits into 1985 better than the AH-64.
