THIS IS WHAT XBOXWORLD MAG HAS TO SAY ABOUT OPERATION FLASHPOINT: ELITE'S MULTIPLAYER
XBOX LIVE REVIEW OPERATION FLASHPOINT: ELITE
The single player side is Shaping up to be something special, but now we've had our hands on the battlefield action thats out to put every other military shooter to shame.
It's even out to take a healthy swipe at halo 2's exposed flank.
And here's a bookies tip-off for you,It'll suceed.
Flashpoint has learned from other live title's to create the ultimate package.
Expect Deathmatches in small villages, counterpointed by territory control missions that span entire islands, requiring you to nominate one skilled player as chopper pilot just to get there.
Actually being transported to the battlezones, instead of just existing in them ? Brilliant.
There's CTF, and an XXL version of king of the hill where your team has to hold an entire location againts enemy invasion.
The reason why such large-scale antics can work is because Flashpoint already supports upto 32 players on dedicated servers, and current test have had figuers as high as 64,all supported by optional [and frighteningly intelligent ] bots.
YES bots, you heard right: 'bots.
That means an epic system link or live game can take place, even with just one mate.
There are countless more modes some ridoculously in-depth, others just fun diversions, including a dogfighting mode using WWII bi planes - TOP!
Plus while halo 2 may be the best thing ever , the co op in Flashpoint puts halo's co op to shame.
You and 4-12 mates can play through proper battles againts the computer, some taken from single-player, some original.
It really is an incredible feeling working as part of an organised unit, and frankly, the co op is far better than rainbow six's offering - thanks to the sheer range of ways a mission can be approached.
endlessly replayable.
This is already set to be a slice of shockingly realistic, brutally hardcore and sensationally fun multiplayer gaming.

We had great fun testing with the Xbox World people and would like to thank them for the efforts they went to http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/smile_o.gif
The great thing is that as positive as they are in that article, the multiplayer code right now is significantly improved over the version they were using with us for the play test, so imagine what they'll write when they see how that runs http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/smile_o.gif
Thanks x Flashpoint x for posting the article http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/smile_o.gif

'bots' showing traces of autonomy and intelligence, OMG
For the target audience of the article "bots" is simply common vernacular for such an entity, same as clans is common vernacular for a group of gamers who play together, personally I much prefer the term "squad", but I'm not going to run around complaining about such a trivial thing http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/smile_o.gif

But its a choice between Xbox and PC ArmaS version thats the trouble! What a dilemma! Especially if they both come out at similar times (which I hope is the case!http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/wink_o.gif

Comparing Halo to OFP gameplay wise is a bit foolish. Halo is a shootem up like Quake3 in MP mode while OFP is a milsim style action game. Not comparable at all , if they wanna compare try CoD or MoH.

Even comparing it to CoD or MoH is a little off. There isn't anything you can compare it to imo.

I believe that OFP:E can be compared to the Halo series in this case because the reviewer is comparing OFP:E's multiplayer to the game recognized to have the best multiplayer on X-Box. ***He is saying that OFP:E's is even better than that of Halo.
The comparison is also pretty good because of Halo's featuring ground and air vehicles that you can get in and out of in both single and multi-player.
Nice that X-Box started out with Halo and will end up with OFP:E. ***That's the way to both start and finish the reign of the X-Box, the box that brought tactical gaming to a diverse audience.

xbox still microsoft product, still stinks, heavy too,I wonder how heavy the 360 will be,even worse they said the 360 will only be backwards compatible with CERTAIN major names, meaning not al games (figures) but anyway back on topic.
Hmm....I duno,I'd probably wait cause I still need to get xbox live and if I get that I'd have to get conkers bad fur day reloaded for sure,I'd probably stick to Armed Assault (Y)......oh wait that doesnt work here.
