Maybe the moderators could please write down some rules to let the visitors know what they might write.
Or maybe they should close down the forum until the game is acctually released.

It seems almost any questions or suggestions will get threads locked. Intollerance.. what has happened?

Just a few months back the moderators let the people go wild trying to sort rumours and ideas out.
It was awsome, really kept me wanting to come here to see what ideas people would come up with.

But now... Threads always seem to get locked.

Well, well... I guess nobody will comment this thread, since it will probably be locked i 2 seconds. Too bad.

Looking forward to AA though, it'll be the biggest gaming news this year!

The Rules! (http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard311/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=64;t=46949)

I think the way this part of the forum's meant to work is that we discuss news related to ArAs as and when new bits come up. So for example when new screens come out we're alowed to discuss what they show and speculate what features this may indicate ArAs having.

I'm guessing we're not allowed to start new threads asking specifically about technical features or give suggestions because BIS don't want to give details of what features are in there yet and they're usually sourced from mere curiosity that has no real evidence or relevence to what we know about ArAs for a fact. If someone asks about dual-monitor support for example it can go two ways; if BIS say ArAs wont have it, immediately people will ask why not and start arguing the pros of dual monitors which sort of turns it into a suggestion, which are futile at this late stage of the game's develoment. If people start giving their own reasons why they think ArAs will or wont have the feature people will have a tendancy to consider whoever has the strongest argument to be the one who is probably right and believe that ArAs will or wont have features that BIS has brovided no evidence of either way.

I think BIS just want us to know the facts as they tell them, however few they are. We just have to accept it and hopefully be surprised and delighted when we do find out.

Good answer.... But still though.. they are a bit too intollerant if you ask me (and seemingly a few others)

It really is very simple - there is no point suggesting new features for ArmAS, and no point speculating about features, release date, distributor etc etc. We have a pinned topic on what discussion is allowed.
