i couldnt find anything about this here in the forum.
we did make pac version from paa textures and they are slightly more bright in some areas (with pantool).

so what are the real differences between those two and which one is 'better' to use?

would it work just to rename paa files to pac for ofp or are there downsides of this (pansee can open them for example...) ?

opinions very welcome ***http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/thumbs-up.gif

I just use the files generates by Visitor (you can set it to paa or pac too) i guess there not any really noticable difference between the 2 only in transparent thingys.

I always find this thread useful for questions like yours:

short description about pac/paa (http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard311/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=50;t=40034)

btw - this is on page one in o2 doc - would have been
worth a try to look there too, as the name of the thread
alone would have jumped into your eyes http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/wink_o.gif
