Probably my fave film ever, its incredibly close to the book and the action is unbelievable.
Quite a few stars in the film too http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard3/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

KingBeast
Jan 15 2002, 15:32
Sean Bean or Been is an excellent actor. Starred in a period war drama called Sharpe, was also the baddy in Goldeneye, and has been in plenty of british films (was Andy McNabb in Bravo Two Zero)

Haven't seen the movie yet, but definately want to witness in in a cinema, instead of video or pc. I haven't heared a negative comment on the movie yet, and it took over the number one position at IMDB from "The Godfather", so this promisses to be something great!

I'm loathe to admit to being a fan of Sean Bean, with him being a Sheffield United fan and all.....

Useless trivia for you, Sean has a "100% Blade" tattoo on his arm, when he was in "Lady Chatterly's Lover" they digitally covered the tattoo for his nude scene http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard3/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Gandalf= Sir Ian McKellan (Richard III, Gods and Monsters, Love And Death on Long Island)

The film looked great, with huge great battle scenes. But it sucks because when you really get into the movie,................BANG .. black screen with the credits. Eat sh*t, and wait another year. Well, thought I would add my view on the LOTR movie.

It is indeed the mightiest movie I have ever seen. I have only seen it once on cinema yet, but will make sure to see it some more times before it dissappears from the cinemas, which I think takes some time still -maybe when the next movie comes?

But my main impression was that it felt like a 3 hour long trailer for the book -The fellowship of the ring...

And futhermore I just can't understand how the people deciding age limits on movies think when they put 11 years on this movie and 15 on much less violent and scary movies here in Sweden. Not that I dont think 11 year olds can handle it, but its very inconsistent. I know of 'adults' having nightmares after seing it...
