As I reported on my site, http://www.flashpoint2source.com , OFP Xbox have a releasedate on tothegame.com; april 1st 2005
I'm kinda suspicious to this date, seeing that it's only 2 months away from today... no news or media has surfaced either.
Gamespot lists the US date as march 1st, a date guaranteed not to be true...
I trust tothegame most of all sites listing releasedates, but of course they have been wrong on certain dates before...
But, all official sites still only say "summer 2005", so my bet would perhaps be for a june or july release?

A lot of game stores have to put release dates in for future releases, so many times they will guess on a release date just so they can tell the customer something about when they may expect the game.
Don't count on this release date. In fact, never go by any release date unless the company has made a press release or official announcement.

Yes I know, but tothegame is a independent gaming site with info and releasedates for every game there is. So I trust them 300% more than stores (which I don't trust at all!).

And I'm not counting on this to be the date either. As I said; my bet is on for june/july... could be august as well. Had I only seen the date on gamespot or an online store, I woulda just thought "yeah right... april 1st... lol". But tothegame carries alot more weight when they give dates (but as I also said earlier; they have been wrong before!).

I heard that sites that SELL games online are the most trustworthy, they NEED to know the date, so they will have the most frequently updated pages... try looking on diffrent sites http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/wink_o.gif .
On April Fools?
It's probably true then. http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/biggrin_o.gif Will fool all of us.

I seriously hope it comes out soon, it's going to be the only shooter I play on Xbox.
the XBox release is still set for 3/1/05 right? i've been waiting for a good reality based military game for some time to come out on Xbox. i just hope it doesn't get delayed again. http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/sad_o.gif

I can imagine the hundreds of ppl lining up at the shops just to hear "April fools!!" http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/tounge_o.gif
Many games have fictional release dates published by many sources. Often it's just a retailer putting up a game for pre-orders. Just like in the example below:
http://pics.daddl.net/fun/amazon_ofp2_order.jpg
And yeah, that's my own preorder. Made the day Amazon made it available for preorder (february 2004). Now where's my game?
http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/wink_o.gif
I guess I'll have to wait till 2006 whatever Amazon says on their website (although my preoder is at least somewhat cheaper than their current listed prize for the game). In the end the only reliable release date is that given by the game's creators and their distributors. And that is subject to change...

Codemasters is your best bet, if you ask them you could get a more accurate answer than anybody at BIStudio could.

I'm not all that excited about the game, compared to the CPU version especially GOTY,xbox is a ripoff, with today's graphics, only the true OFP fans will not be dissapointed,as the companies Bohemia and Codemasters may not have become aware as just to how picky people are of graphics in this day.

As I said in another post somewhere, june 1st has been the date at Codies for some time now.
But now I'm not so sure... I got this reply from Codies customerservice today:
Quote[/b] ]Thank you for submitting your recent request to Codemasters Customer Services concerning Operation Flashpoint. Unfortunately these games have suffered delays so the X-Box version is unlikely to be released in June. Please keep an eye on www.codemasters.com for more information on games released as well as our E3 line up.
(I was asking if the dates at the Codies site for both OFP 2 and OFP Xbox were to trusted, and if both games would be at E3)
Now, I'm not so sure if we should trust their custservice... we all remember when they told x Flashpoint x above me here, that OFP for Xbox had been cancelled... http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/crazy_o.gif
But if this is somewhat true... well then no Xbox version before july at the earliest then.
E3 will hopefully shed more light on everything... http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/sad_o.gif
