Excellent stuff, thanks for posting http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/smile_o.gif
Yes great.
Except for just one thing you all should keep in mind, it is not really legal to use OFP for training, evaluation maybe, but training-VBS1 is the product of choice. Any military in the world can afford the low price as far as I know.
Yes as Ng Yat Chung says - OFP has the potential to be a powerful simulation. However this potential is being explored mainly through VBS1.

Armies anywhere depends on taxpayers to run it on the premise that the best way to achieve peace is to prepare for war.
Since ofp came out in the market, armies everywhere were astounded with what it could do, furthermore with BIS kindly releasing the modding tools, armed with a group of hardcore modding capable fans, armies would generally chose the lowest cost option for training.
Furthermore, there are still old line generals who scoff at computer training instead of sweating it out in the fields, unaware that ofp simulation is part of the steps to battle - the rehearsal - intergral in any planning for war to minimise confusion as most plans goes out the window once the bullets fly. Therefore its pretty tough to convince these old folks on spending its budget for a system like VBS - every dollar counts when the general auditor pays a visit!
But overtime, as BIS helps, improves and encourages modding, it would stand in the lead as battle simulator once more old line folks see the virtue of simulated rehearsals instead of imaginning lines of white tape on the ground as trees or building and always comes out alive in any ground base rehearsals.
In the past-16th-18th century, the British navy who ruled the seas often criticise the trading community and said without the navy, the traders would be dead and should let the navy be masters. But the traders retorted that without trade, there wont be money to pay for the immaculate uniforms and ships.
This analogy is to assure BIS on releasing info and improving its software, for modding will only make the branding of BIS stronger and leave the others behind when the 2nd oldest proffession in the world takes battle simulation seriously. http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/smile_o.gif

You don't sell product by threatening to beat the customer's head in with lawyers, that's the Microsoft and SCO method, and it's not doing them any good. http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/wink_o.gif You build a product, sell the features as "can't-live-without", and worry about the price later.
Anyway, what is the preferred language for the Singapore Military? What unique technical problems are they having that you might be aware of, aside from the beaurocrats?
Many cadets could discover the games, the many mods and addons in military school. Then, after ending their course, if they are still interested, they will buy a PC and the game...
New customers http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/wink_o.gif
the more addons being available, the longer OFP will live.
It's good for the players, for the community, for BIS and for Codemasters.
Afterall, not so many games in PC games world are currently living so old http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/smile_o.gif
