On the Codemasters' XBox page you can download the E3 Screenshots:XBox E3 Screenshots (http://www.codemasters.com/flashpointxbox/uk/downloads.php), however, most of them have been released before.

And while we are talking about release - on the page linked above it still says OFP XBox released in Spring 2004, but on another Codemasters page (http://www.codemasters.co.uk/games/displaygames.php?genre=FPS&PHPSESSID=56068714707293a5e49ae2d96625fe9a) it already says Autumn 2004.

Now, there is is also a E3 News release (http://www.codemasters.com/flashpointxbox/uk/news.php). Strange enough , it sounds just like our OFP http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/biggrin_o.gif

Some textures of trees looked really great, also the wound animations and the grass.

Although i still can not imagine how you want to play a game like this on the xbox, not only is the hardware crappy, but with only a gamepad.... come on, i use my whole keyboard, a 5-button mouse, and switch to joystick/gamepad when flying planes or choppers.

So will you be forced to play the "prequel" (Resistance) first before CWC?

Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis E3 2004 Impressions

Codemasters and Bohemia Interactive are finally nearing completion of the Xbox version of Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis, their popular and revolutionary first-person shooter that was released for the PC in 2001.

In the game, you play as various American soldiers stationed to a fictional island in the North Atlantic in the year 1985. The Cold War is still on, and out of the blue Soviet forces invade the island. Cut off from reinforcements, you have to survive and then help lead the counter-attack to free the island.

Bohemia, which developed the PC version, has managed to translate the game to the Xbox without any compromises in the game’s vast scale. Flashpoint takes place on a huge island, measuring about 200 square kilometers in size. That means that you can literally travel to any point of the island during a mission, provided you have the means of evading and surviving contact with enemy forces.

In addition to a wide range of realistic American and Soviet weapons from 1985, there are literally hundreds of different vehicles, including civilian cars, jeeps, trucks, tanks, and more. You can commandeer all of these and use them to travel around. You can also fly a variety of fixed-wing and rotary-winged (helicopters) aircraft.

The Xbox version looks as good as the PC version (though it obviously runs at a lower resolution), and the controls translate well to the Xbox. The Xbox version should contain the campaign from the original game, and Bohemia hopes to add in the missions from the Resistance expansion pack. The Xbox version should ship this fall.

If it is that big  http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/biggrin_o.gif
I guess they use streaming terrain for Xbox, a feature we will have with OFP 2 also.

They are both included in XBox version. Read carefully, "The Resistance" is an embedded campaign.

Goto www.gamespot.com and check the video out of flashpoint on the xbox. I was quite amazed how well it has been grafted on to the xbox. The actual models did look pretty impressive also. I now hope Codemasters advertise this game as it deserves alot more then what the pc version got
