Saw this news on ofpbase (http://ofp.edgegaming.com/) that scud released 3 new F1 boats..

Addonmaker Scud sent me an email containing some nice F1 Boats wich comes in three versions. Looking good! This what he said more:

Top speed is around 180 to 190 you can go faster if you can keep them in the water. Acceleration is fast and they sound good. AI can even drive them fairly well. (Just not on sharp corners) Anyway they are just for fun.

I topped at 235 yesterday, I think the speed may be governed by the water depth. I will check.
I racr round Desert Island and the average cruise speed would be 140 but the heading North along the East coast you can get up over 230's.

I wasn't sure of the amount of interest in this model but if enough are keen I can tidy it up and make it alot more stable.
Also put back the booster switch that left off this version coz of total lack of control around 300 clicks.

dont fix the stability too much. i rather like that "bouncing" around http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/smile_o.gif this boat is really really nice i set up a nice lil race course on teh desert island using the lega wars bouys and banners cuz its the only ones i could find lol. but yea this is really rreally nice. and i found out how to do a nose spin in the water http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/biggrin_o.gif stop the boat.. and hold the left or right arrow key for a few seconds keep spining and your boat will do a nose spin.. its awesome http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/biggrin_o.gif

no offense to mr scud. but this is by far the best "low quality*" addon ive ever used. will keep around my HD for a long time.

*low quality refering to the model and textures which were stated as "could be better" in your readme so thats fine

PS: mr scud type dude http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/biggrin_o.gif if u like i can make u a few textures. but i dont have o2 or know how to apply them so if u like i can talk to you on a messenger service and make ya up some kickass textures http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/smile_o.gif

No offense taken, I spent a marathon amount of time on this model - probably close to 2 hours http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/wink_o.gif start to finish.

I just finished watching the local F1 races and wondered how they would go in ofp.

Nice textures - looks great
Just one question
Why do you have the canopy open?

and if you wish to adjust it to open further
find this section in the cpp file and..
<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">// Animations
animated=1;
class Animations
{
//
class ani_canopy
{
type=&#34;rotation&#34;;
animPeriod=3;
selection=&#34;canopy&#34;;
axis=&#34;osa canopy&#34;;
angle0=0;
angle1=-2.5;
};
};[/QUOTE]
just change the angle from -2.5 to -2.8 (whatever)
depending on how far you want it to open.

i told you. it was a parade lap. when you make one full course loop with it open and wave to your adoring fans on the shore http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/biggrin_o.gif then you return to the starting post and wait for the starting gun http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/smile_o.gif

(used to watch these guys race every summer at the Pittsburgh 3 rivers regatta) hang on ill make one with them closed

there that was during a race http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/smile_o.gif naturaly i won cuz the AI cant drive fast http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/tounge_o.gif
