Some of you may agree, and some of you may not.
It's been a couple of years now, with the U.S. fighting the Terrorists.
3 very big hints that Flashpoint 2 will NOT be Vietnam war based:
These are picked up DIRECTLY from Flashpoint2.com
1. As part of the international coalition contingent, your team will be deployed to
dismantle a significant threat to the free world in Operation Flashpoint 2.
2. authentic modern vehicles and equipment.. Fly the latest aircraft.....
3. The world has changed. Heightened tensions around the globe have created a need for pre-empitive action to ensure ongoing stability
Number 1 stood out because I see so much "War on Terror" letters falling off of that quote. The Significant threat being the Terrorists.
Also, international coalition contingent, now what the hell is that? Contingent means something that has not happened, but might happen? unless they meant to say continent?

Number 2 was so obvious. Hands down, it says it all, "authentic Modern day vehicles and equipment" and "fly the latest aircraft". This sticks out like a sore thumb.

Number 3 may not look like much, but again it sounds very closely related to the War on Terror. The words pre-empitive fits well, knowing the US sent troops so no more Terrorist acts could be established.
