View Full Version : 3D Glasses and OFP
Before I buy Thoses wireless 3d Glasses that I had a coupon for that came in my Gforce2 box has anyone bought and used them in OFP yet?
And if so tell us about it.
Thanks
They suck and gives you headache. Save your money for something else. Those things are only novelty unless you are willing to spend a few thousand dollars on REAL pro 3D glasses!
lol 1000.00 bucks for use on a 39.99 game I don't think so hehehe
Thanks
I got a set included with my Gforce 3 TI 500...they look really kick ass on ofp and give everything depth...however...they take a ton of tweaking and getting the settings right...they also tend to get out of focus when switching between 1st and 3rd person views.
how much r those glasses? will they work with all monitors (like LCDs)?
Well I have them and they rock in some games and suck in others. Day of Defeat is downright breathtaking in 3D as is Panzer Elite. I havent tried it in OFP yet. Well, I have I just didnt have time to tweak it out so I put it on hold. Its NOT just a novelty!

They only suck and give you headaches when incorrectly (or, not optimally) configured for the wearer. Chances are, you have stereo separation too high, backplane too near, screen depth too deep, and convergence way behind you.
I know, because when I first ran Independence War 2 in 3D, I got an immediate eye-watering experience looking at the screen... it wasn't until I resetted everything to 2D mode and manually adjusted stereo separation, backplane etc that I got IWar2 to work smoothly.... I'll bet that all you need to do is just to tweak your settings too, to get rid of your headaches http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I have saw somewhere in the site were you buy the glasses that it don't work on LCD's.
That's correct. If you use an LCD panel, these glasses will NOT work.
Amazingly enough, your LCD panel screen (with a picture) looks almost completely black while you have the glasses on. Wierd.
CRT's only peeps.
