Saving campain before reinstalling

Hi there - Before I format my hard drive I did save
the USER/ folder wich contains the saved games...

Now, I reinstall it, replace the new USER folder with
the one I saved on a CDR, but for some reasons it
does crash...

Yes, just backup ya "users" dir. And then replace it with the new one created during an uninstall

Well as stated before, replacing the new USER/ folder from a fresh install with the previous one simply, do not work...

What are the minimal files to add or replace http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard3/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

Should have just saved the files alone....some games I just don't get it though....you save your game and there is nothing where it's installed so one time out of desperation I copied the whole game folder onto CD and when I reloaded I installed the game and the over ridded the folder with the old one...the game worked but were my saves there??? #### NO.......I have lost so much with my computer that it gets to the point where you say f**k it and set the game up on the shelve.....

Here's a hunch. Check to make sure that the files restored from the CD don't have the READ ONLY attribute checked on.
