i was playing ofp on lan with my friend who brought his comp to my house

we were playing a custom map i made with all the vehicles and we were trying them out and stuff

out of nowhere theres the really high beeeeeeeeeeeep and his comp overheated

it was really funny cos it sounded like one of those life support machines when someone dies

anyway his machine is a amd k6 500 gf2mx

i just like to share that little anecdote

....

LOL! This is funny to me because I had a K6-2 500 mhz. and I *hate* those things http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard3/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif It is the crappiest piece of CPU ever made and I cringe seeing that it's still on the market. It compares to about 233 mhz PII, *maybe* 300 mhz, not an iota more.

I had an AMD K62 550mhz processor. It was pretty good, but then I got the AMD Athlon 1.0gig processor. Now that hauls ass. I finally upgraded to the AMD Athlon 1.4gig, and had to mount header pipes and a blower motor on my tower!

yep i had amd500 too and when i upgraded i gave my kid it well he has to learn that pc;s arent all fun lolol
