OFP - Server inside the Net

Well, maybe stupid question, but I have enough webspace to upload the whole OFP to my Provider.
Now if I use the server.exe aswell, can I serve it from the net itself?
Is there a way to execute a .exe file in the web, so that it is running? Well, I hope you understand my desire. Or do I need for this a special tool, so it runs on a www.
Well, if you know how it might work, please help me.

executable files cant generally be run from a web page (www)...would be far too easy to propigate viri and other bad s**t if this were the case...co-location is about as close as you can get to something of this nature...but you cant get a game server running through a browser.

yes it is possible, you would have to make sure the exe is not viewable, this would mean the whole directy would be, you would have to tell each file what is readable and what is writable, doing this incorectly will crash the whole server

also I run servers and I know each site should be moniotred by your ISP, it shows CPU usage and bandwith usage, I'm sure they would notcie awefully fast.

it would take a long time to get it working properly, and only if you had chmod knowlage and privileges, after that it might have a problem using Ports since those are not used by WEB based servers

Since i own my server I know it can be done, but the fact that it's runs through a Web server progam and not linux or windows directly it will cause terible slow downs over the whole network
so in the end it can be done but it wont run

you would have to turn it off and on by web lol

The biggest bump in the road in this scenario is that the web server would have to run Windows, which almost no ISP uses -- they minimize their costs by using free tools and running Linux and Apache, for example.

well it seems, that a own computer has to be connected to a high speed connection, so that the dedicated server runs perfect, without lag. Shame realy, well, it will cost alot of money to get a good, computer , and high end connection. Well, might be lucky, one day and get a sponsor, it might work. So this is only a dream for now, thank you guys for helping me. Might see you soon. Oh and thank you all in here anyway, because of you I could add such cool stuff to my site http://www.saintholgi.de and learned some things in OFP.
