Murda, I assume you have cable, right? While DSL typically doesn't get the download speeds of cable, I think it is a much better choice for gaming, because it tends to have better upstream speeds. There also tends to be less latency.
BTW, for those who are wondering, the tweaks on DSLReports are NOT just for DSL connections, they apply to all other connection types as well -- analog modems, cable modems, satellite modems etc.

Yes cable, Yea I had ADSL, but the ISP was s**t, so I switched to cable. My upstream is capped, I could pay more money and they would up it, but I don't really need more than 100K upstreram at the moment. I'm sure I might do it sometime though http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard3/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

those reports are depending of your connection to the server and should not be taken too seriously.
those who have "the all seeing eye" could use its built in bandwidth checker for more accurate results
according to it i have download of 451 kbits and upload of 621 kbits on my adsl.
(i know, its not normal with higher upload, but i have it)
all seeing eye is much better for checking the speed of your connection than the online services.

Sure, those are excellent results. You can compare them to other people in general, as well as those with the same ISP or in your ZIP code by checking the archive:
