View Full Version : Creating Client....
I am having problems joining dedicated servers, though may be any type of server. I am using gamespy, and i can find the servers fine but when i go to join SOME, not all, of them it either crashes on the Creating Client screen of goes back to the main menu and says Connection Failed. I have version 1.3, even reinstalled the game incase it was because i used version 1.29 before putting 1.3 on, but it didn't help i still have the same problem. Some serversi don't have any probs with and it works fine but it's annoying having to try and find a server that will let me in. Any able to help? or have the same prob?

Maybe the dedicated servers still run 1.29?
Well it happens on the gamersrevolt servers and there updated to 1.30

I have the same problem. Somtimes when I join a server, Flashpoint stuck on the CREATING CLIENT screen. And I have version 1.3 installed.

Solution: DONT use Gamespy!
Gamespy ded servers lock up for me also. Quite often.
ASE servers work perfectly...

What do you mean with ASE servers?

All Seeing Eye. Much, much, much better than GS on dedicated servers. And about 50 more of them.

I know, I have that program but I have still the problem.
Is there a way to make your dedicated server report to an All Seeing Eye master server?
I'm running a dedicated server right now but haven't quite figured out how to make it show up on gamespy or All Seeing Eye.
The syntax I am using in my config file is the following
reportingIP = "master.gamespy.com";
Any advice?
I use a different tactics 'cause i've got the same prob.
I run Gs and enter in the opf dedicated servers section.
I read the servers' ip i want to join, I write it on paper (my best friend http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard3/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif), then i copy it in the multiplay section INSIDE the game.
The prob never reappeared.
Looks like GS locks the game while "creating client" on some servers, while access from the game never did.
