Hello.

I might as well get right to the point.

The Real War Mod is no longer in development, all work has stopped, and we will no longer be releasing any modifications for the game Operation Flashpoint.

We have made the decision to stop the mods development because, work, schooling and personal reasons have restricted our time, and in turn have prevented myself (Luke Jones-Sexton) and Martijn (Speeeedy) to put the time and effort into the mod that it needs and deserves.

The management of the mod would like to greatly thank the community for there wonderful support and help.

We also need to give a special thanks to the team that made this mod happen while it lasted; there hard work has produced some truly great material that will sadly never get to see the light of day, this reason has made this decision to stop the mod’s production harder than we hoped it would be.

We thank all of you, and good bye.

-Luke Jones-Sexton, &, Martijn Zantinge

Why couldnt you guys instead of starting 300`000 different Mods, sit together and create one in Cooperation. This is such a #### lot of a work, and it is a shame that all the work you already put in is lost.

I WANT MY MODS; NNNNNOOOOOOOWWWWW!

Am not surprised at all. Why spending so much time on something you still don´t know whether will be possible to share with others or not. Too bad! <:-/

Why do all these groups declare that they are going to make a mod when they dont know if/when the SDK´s going to be released?

Seems to me they start hammering a nail with the fist before they have the hammer...

Why not put all this creativity into making stuff with the (may I say brilliant) built-in-editor and scriptsystem and then, when the SDK is released, plan, declare and produce a mod?

uhhhmmm....because when the SDK is finally released we'd have to wait another 3 years before the first mod's come out...any idea how much work that is?

xander:
There isn't an sdk, all there is are the tools that were used by BIS to make the game. Tools that a very long time to develop. Also, there's the VBS thing. They can't just release this thing for free, if there's some organization paying money for it.

Just a thought, but maybe the Real War mod people might release the stuff they have done so that other people could use it for different projects? It might help to speed along other mods.

I don't know if it's feasible, but it might help someone. http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard3/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
