I get too many islands...

I made a 256*256 ***grayscale image in photoshop. Put some paint on it and ran it through kegetys program. Then i open visitor ---> new file ---> import my file and i get several identical islands

Any idea what could be wrong?

It has to be 32bit (RGBA), not grayscale (which is 8bit)
