We need a customizable alliance system more than anything else in OFP2.

The side system as it is now is very limited and cause of a lot of trouble and incompatibility for addons makers. Beside for modern conflicts, the opposition East/West is no longer relevant.

what about a table system that will allow to easily choose which side the units are on? not just the choice of east, west , both or none. the table of alliance would have to be made by the mission maker. Which means that the addons would not have a fixed side right from the beginning, but the sides would be fixed in the editor at the time of mission editing.

something like that for exemple:

A bieng Allied
E being Enemy

This way, the hassle to find a suitable (and compatible) addon will be a thing of the past.
