I mentioned this a long time ago. Now with OFP2 suggestions open, I'll try it again.
It would be nice to have a separate user directory, where music and sound clip files could be added on the fly and referenced by missions that would make use of them.
This way, music files for missions could be downloaded once and separately from missions themselves and mission makers could make repeated use of these files, refencing the single copy of the file that may have originally been downloaded.
There should also be a possibility, at least for music, as to whether it is critical, suggested or optional. That way, if a music file is missing, a mission will determine whether the mission is to issue with or without a missing track error message or to stop with error.
