Could someone tell me what the desert island is for? I went into the editor expecting to be able to add buildings only to find that I can't. So what am I supposed to do with it? I guess you could have a little war there but there's no cover. You could toss in some vehicles but it's still pretty bare. I found a site that explains how to add buildings but it doesn't give the name of all the buildings so you can't add some of them. Does anyone know of a complete list of buildings or a better way of doing this?

No idea. I've seen one mission for it. I have a editor addon that allows you to add buildings (even things such as forests and roads, good luck positioning them right) if you'd like I can send it to you.
All i use the island for is testing new stuff in but this link may help u :

Is this better than the Editor Upgrade from Gunslinger? And does it work without Resistance?

*sigh*
You guys really need to update yourselves =D
the http://www.concept-5.com/ofp site has been down for quite some time. If you click the above URL you will see why =)

lmao
There are a couple of editor addons, all of which can be found at http://www.ofpec.com
under editing apps
You have gunslingers Editor Upgrade which will add all the available things to original OFP. I.E no OFP:R objects in that.
Now, Kegetys has made a new editor addon which will allow mission designers to place OFP:R objects.
If you have OFP:R, both files go into your :\operationflashpoint\res\addons directory.
If you only have original OFP however, you place the original gunslinger upgrade into your :\operationflashpoint\addons directory.
