The problem I had w/ Codemasters was pre ordering, the distributing company codemasters used(forgot the name?) but I just cancelled my preorder(3 weeks after resistance came out in the US) and got it from Babbages.

I have no problem with Codies, but you could have waited a couple of versions to release ofp, alot of people got scared of the many bugs in the first release.

Before OFP2 comes out, I will have upgraded my PC to to play it with no glitches.

I was lazy about making stuff for OFP because so many else did.. but OFP 2 seems to be located in -nam, so this time I will have to grab myself in the neck and start making more familar scenario's without jungle landscape.

I am willing to do it, anyway, as long as OFP 2 will be at least as high-quallity as OFP 1985. Am slightly concerned about how the new terraing engine will look from the air, though. MSFS comes to mind..

Il buy it if it has uptodate hardware and in game join, otherwise ofp covers all my co op needs. Im more interested in playing with the latest toys than retro stuff and jungle warfare really doesnt suit computer games imo.

Whats so wrong with jungle warfare?, opf does a very good job in that area, realistic movement, weapon handling, navigation through compass, sun or stars. I will definitely get OFP2! And if the system reqs. are too high I will just have to upgrade my bloody comp! Anyone who has stuck with OFP for this long will surely agree with me. It's simply a must! OFP2 will surely rock. And will it be called 'Between the Lines' or not?

And BIS, please, please, please release the editing tools sooner this time! That is if we can't use the existing ones...

I'm pretty sure someone who took the time to find a forum that mostly just OFP fans use and said 'BIS SUCKS' is probably someone who's just looking for attention.

As far as OFP2? I watched OFP be developed over the course of 2 years, watching the movies be released one by one, seeing entising pieces, getting the demo before release, then ordering the UK version so I could have it before the US version was released. OFP and OFP-R have yet to disappoint. In the myriad of common average games that copy something or another, OFP is a unique gem.

I hope Codemasters shoves plenty of dough and resources towards BIS to make OFP2 incredible.

Indeed,the main reason why I play ofp is because of the addons, no offense but I just got bored of 1985-era equipment.

After I finished OF all I could think was damn I can`t wait `till
OF 2 will come...It had almost all that I`ve dreamed in a Tactical shooter...But if OF 2 is gonna be in Vietnam it will change my opinion on BIS...Sure I`m gonna buy it but only for future mods and not for the campaign itself....

But I really hope they improve the flight simulation for the planes. I just love the A-10 and hope they keep it and improve it in OFP2. And I agree with a previous post; better terrian graphics from the air.

Also, why bring in old addons? Let's start over and have those experienced mod makers make new ones.. I'm sure they would want to (new projects).

I trust BIS and I'm sure it's going to be one kick azz game.

I never buy a 50 euros game before i can read several reviews from my favourite gamesites.

First I had too many bad experiences before, even with sequels of good games

I wont buy it if the reviews or other comments tell:
1: Commanders cannot give gunners in vehicles targets
2: Gamephysics are bad, or not present.
3: Missionscripting that doesn't work on both server and clients (spawn vehicles)

If these criterias are met I will buy the game, but I will not run down to the store to buy it at once.

Oh, btw, OFP was fun from 1.0. It had bug, it has bugs it will have bugs, but its what i need.

I never had so much fun crouching around for 15 mins in a game, spotting enemies and watch my team winning without using one single round.

I already answered YES, I will buy any game(program) made by Bis as long as my funds allow me to do so at the time.
I will also buy any hardware needed to play as I have done it in the past with other games,main reason I have a G4 is because of demanding Tribes2, I play TWL ( I fly of course)

I just want to remind the ones that will await reviews and such. No I am not a beta tester either but remember how OFP got better as it went along.If there were complaints or such ,I have faith that they would be addressed.

And you would be missing all that gametime if you are going to wait till a version you are happy with released

I play OFP every day for at least 3.5 hours a day (yes, I know, I'm bad)... I've had the game for a long time, lets say just 1.5 years (182.5 days)

3.5 • 182.5 = 638.75 hours of OFP play

I probably have more. Lets see how many days that is.

638.75 / 24 = 26.614583

With what I am hearing about it I don't think I will. I am going to wait untill thier is a demo of it out before I make any final judgements./ (By then I will have my new PC and DSL.) If it's all Vietnam than no I probably won't buy it. but IF and that's one BIG if, IF it clears up all the physics and problems with the units and unit iterface I will but it just for the sake of better game play. (IT has to have a oppen addon system and the tools need to be disriputed freely too.)
