i have a mission that needs a certain person. e.g. triggers being activated by the officer. but if he were to get shot the mission is already over basically.
somehow i need him to survive the whole way through. is this possible?

it is possible if you are using version 1.0

this setdammage false,

but after 1.0 they removed that command

man thats f'ed up... i just got a new cd rom cuz the other broke and i couldn't update the game. now i have i bloody need the command. i now got 1.29 but i found a bug in that too. u can't copy and paste text.

dont change the subject i need to know if in v 1.30 they will bring back the this setdammage false command.
my mission aint gunna be very good without it.

If it is not player, make a trigger so when the officer is dead, setdammage 0, it works. He magically will stand up. Sometimes it stops working though.

so in a trigger the size of the map i just grp it with the leader and put in the on activation "unitname setdammage 0"

but wouldn't that interfere with the men saying "1 is down, 2 taking over"

Yeah,

I've tried that method with a script that checks the unit health, and if he's damaged it heals him.

But you just see the bloke get shot, fall down dead, then get back up again (looks even stranger when he sits on a grenade!!), and if you are that soldier the mission still ends when your damage is 0.

and it wks thx alot. u forgot to mention i obviously had to have the trigger as not present and on repeatidly.
but thats quite easy to figure out.

hey guys i found this funny and annoying. u said u couldn't make the player invinsible. well i made him invinsible but the only problem is, is that the stupid screen "u r dead" comes up after a while. is there anyway of getting rid of this and carry on playing?
