Hey everyone, well i've finally completed my first extensive mission...please check it out.
It's a Ia Trang based mission and it uses SEB nam pack V1.0...sorry i would have gone 2.0 but i'm still a 1.46 and not resistance.
The mission is, you and 3 other squads are flown into LZ X-ray to secure it. Once you get there...further orders come. I won't go into detail on what happens cause wheres the fun in that! http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif What i will say is that it is a pretty basic mission but very fun, It's though but not too tough.

Please visit the webpage i devoted completly to this mission it has links to the add-ons and everything. ENJOY!

Unfortunately, not many people have Nam Pack 1 installed, or are going to downgrade to play missions.
You should really consider picking up a copy of Resistance. Most stores are selling it for under $20. Then you could upgrade your mission for the 2nd Nam Pack. http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
You're really missing out by not being able to enjoy NP2.

Is that 20$ U.S or 40$ can. http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif I'll have to give it a shot...I think i'll still mess around with Nam Pack 1 until i can get Res. Hell i wonder if Res. will even work on my laptop.
And it's not like your "downgrading" you still have Nam Pack 2...your just playing with Nam Pack 1. Downloading Nam Pack 1 won't overwrite Nam Pack 2. I think... http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought there were problems with having both versions installed at the same time.
That was $20 US BTW.

As i said i don't have Res. but from what i've read i don't think the two versions have problems, if you put the addons in right. ***Here's a link to what i read.
Explaination (http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard301/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST&f=54&t=27793)
I guess your supposed to put Res. Addons in the Res/addons folder and not the original /addons.

I mistakenly mentioned this already in the other thread, Doolie, but I got bumped to the menu after the intro played.
I installed both the addonds, and I put the mission into my user/Missions folder, but it wouldn't detect it, so I moved it to my OFP/Missions folder, and it ran it, but as I said, bumped me to the menu after the intro

When making Nam Pack 2 we attempted to maintain all the classnames intact from Nam Pack 1 with the aim of allowing missions made for NP1 to work with NP2.
If you have NP2 then do not install NP1, the mission should work with NP2 by itself.
If it doesnt, then please post what errors you get.

Cool, it works now!
Phew, this one is a zinger!
Took me five tries just to get to the VC Base!
*COUPLE POSSIBLE SPOILERS*
Half of Bravo Team usually bites it right away when their chopper goes, and a couple guys in my squad alway get injured, and there's always at least one blue-on-blue. Definately not easy, especially for a scrub like me. http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
The atmosphere is great; the VC have almost all of the cover, and usually, you're trying just to stay alive.
All in all, a good mission. Inspired me to start working on my own 'Nam mission.
Can't wait to see what you come out with next. http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Thanks for the compliment PFC Mongoose! http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif ,
The next one should be coming out sometime this next week...most likly thursday or friday. Then I'll start on that Canadian units mission i was talking about.
Before you were talking about Operation Northstar's stuff....I know, those guys do a great job! i check out thier stuff often and will be using thier units for the Canadian desert mission.
Plus, when you've finished your mission...Give me a holler i'd like to be one of the first to try it out.

Seems a nice mission though I'm getting a missing addon 'Sebnam_wp'. Strangely I do have a file of that name in my addons folder. It doesn't stop me playing the mission, only the intro but I'd be curious to know whats wrong.

This might be one of the problems Select this was talking about.
Are you running both SEB Nam pack 1.0 and 2.0? Cause if you downloaded 1.0 when you allready had 2.0 installed it might have caused some problems. If this is the case i think just reinstalling 2.0 would fix it.

No. I did a fresh install of the game and went straight to Nampack 2. V1 hasn't been on the machine since I reinstalled.

Do you have file sebnam_1a.pbo, dated 2002/11/26 ?

That's good.
What's bad is that you still have the problem.
This is being caused either because you don't have file sebnam_wp.pbo in (dated Nov. 2002) in you addons folder (I'm sure you have it) or because sebnam_wp is not declared in the appropriate Addons section in the mission.sqm file.

huh, It seems to have worked for everyone that is only using 1.46 and SEB nam pack 1.
What do i have to do to make it work for v2? I'm making another mission now and am almost done and i don't want the same problem showing up for Res people.
By the way, thanks for the help Avon Lady...I'm only a newbie at "publishing" missions http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

If the problem lies between Nampacks 1+2 theres not really much you can do doc1011 short of an upgrade. Its probably worth it but its your call.

Here's what you can do. Just declare all the Nam Pack 2 PBO files in all of the mission.sqm's Addons sections:
</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">
sebnam_1a
sebnam_a
sebnam_ci
sebnam_d
sebnam_ls
sebnam_m
sebnam_nv
sebnam_obj (not sure if this was in Nam Pack 2)
sebnam_s
sebnam_us
sebnam_vc
sebnam_vg
sebnam_vh
sebnam_vha
sebnam_vl
sebnam_vo
sebnam_vs
sebnam_wp[/QUOTE]<span id='postcolor'>
Of course,
1. You'll have to make this a separate download for 1.85 players.
2. Some of the unit names may have changed between Nam Pack 1 and 2. If you use them in your mission, they won't be available in OFP 1.85.

Thanks Avon, I'll do that..Most likly next weekend as i've got essay's and Assignements coming out of the *@$% http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif But I'll get it done.
Is this the only two packs that have problems like this or are thier more? Just for further reference and so i can avoid them to make it easier on everyone.
Or maybe i should just stick to making 1.46 missions and forget about all you people that have better comps then me and can run Res. http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

I would suggest that you find someone with Resistance and Nam Pack 2 who will volunteer to convert the mission for you. That way, you won't be second guessing.
Sorry, I'm booked.
Any volunteers? It should consist only of generating the mission.sqm's addons declarations in the Mission Editor and possibly updating the names of a unit or two. That's all.
Nobody wanna help me out? http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif
Whatever, not a bigdeal...I'll just continue to make missions for 1.46, until i can get Res. THEN i'll bring back all the old ones i made for 1.46!
It'll be one big mission reunion! How awesome does that sound!
Yah I KNOW! REAL AWESOME! http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
hey, when is the tank pack going to be released for sebnam 2.0http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif
Alright everyone, Instead of making a new thread i'll just continue on this one.
I've made a new mission! ***http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
It's Called Sand Ghost
It's a Lone-wolf Canadian Black Ops Mission, based in a small town in the middle of the desert. ***It's hard because you don't have any waypoints, you just have to figure it out on your own with the information i provide you. ***Plus there's a lil twist at the end. ***Give it a shot!
Doolie's Page (http://www.doolie.freewebpages.org)
Anyone try the new mission out yet? I'm always up for constructive critism so please feel free!
Just remember it's for 1.46 only. http://www.flashpoint1985.com/ikonboard301/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
